लघुन्यासः is a short preparatory न्यास (placing / consecration) traditionally done before chanting श्री रुद्रम्. This is not meant to be mechanical. The deeper aim is to begin श्री रुद्रम् with a steady mind, respectful speech, and a sense that your body is a sacred instrument - so the recitation becomes prayer, not performance. Practically, लघुन्यासः includes (1) ध्यान (meditation), (2) placing deities in different parts of the body, (3) aligning breath/speech/mind with cosmic principles, and (4) कर/अंग न्यास (mantra-placement on the hands and body).
In the larger वैदिक tradition, न्यास is a bridge between ritual and inner life. This section mirrors प्रत्याहार and धारणा in yoga - attention withdrawn from noise and placed deliberately. In homes and workplaces alike, this produces steadier emotions and cleaner decisions.

This excerpt from चमकम् fits naturally into लघुन्यासः because it is a prayer for inner and outer readiness. Notice the balance: joy and peace, desire and discipline, resources and wisdom, health and long life. It is not asking for indulgence; it is asking for wholeness.
For a younger generation, this is a powerful reframe of "success." Success is not only money or grades; it is also steadiness (धृति), good-mindedness (सौमनस), and living in ऋत (truthful order). Without those, external wins feel hollow.
