শ্লোকঃ
মুদা সুরৌঘৈস্ত্বমুদারসম্মদৈ-
রুদীর্য় দামোদর ইত্যভিষ্টুতঃ ।
মৃদুদরঃ স্বৈরমুলূখলে লগ-
ন্নদূরতো দ্বৌ ককুভাবুদৈক্ষথাঃ ॥1॥

Meaning
মুদা সুরৌঘৈঃ- - joyfully by the group of gods; ত্বম্-উদার-সম্মদৈঃ- - Thou (was called) with great happiness; উদীর্য় দামোদর - was called Daamodara; ইতি-অভিষ্টুতঃ - (and) thus were praised/ glorified; মৃদু-উদরঃ - tender bellied; স্বৈরম্-উলূখলে - Thyself at the mortar; লগন্-অদূরতঃ - attached, not far away; দ্বৌ ককুভৌ-উদৈক্ষথাঃ - two Kakubha (Arjuna) tree, saw;

Translation
Thou were joyfully named Daamodara by the group of sages who were watching Thee with great happiness, and they praised and glorified Thee. Thou who with a tender belly were attached to the mortar, saw two Kakubha (Arjuna) trees not far away.

শ্লোকঃ
কুবেরসূনুর্নলকূবরাভিধঃ
পরো মণিগ্রীব ইতি প্রথাং গতঃ ।
মহেশসেবাধিগতশ্রিয়োন্মদৌ
চিরং কিল ত্বদ্বিমুখাবখেলতাম্ ॥2॥

Meaning
কুবের-সূনুঃ- - Kuber's sons; নলকূবর-অভিধঃ - named Nalakubara; পরঃ মণিগ্রীব ইতি - another one Manigreeva thus; প্রথাং গতঃ - became well known; মহেশ-সেবা- - by worshipping Shiva; অধিগত-শ্রিয়- - attained prosperity; উন্মদৌ চিরং কিল - (both) became haughty, for long, indeed; ত্বত্-বিমুখৌ- - indifferent to Thee; অবখেলতাম্ - (and) became wayward;

Translation
The two sons of Kuber, (the god of wealth) one known as Nalakubara and the other one known as Manigreeva became very well known. By worshipping Shiva they also attained great prosperity and because of the pride of wealth they became very haughty and indifferent to Thee. For a very long time they led a very wayward life.

শ্লোকঃ
সুরাপগায়াং কিল তৌ মদোত্কটৌ
সুরাপগাযদ্বহুয়ৌবতাবৃতৌ ।
বিবাসসৌ কেলিপরৌ স নারদো
ভবত্পদৈকপ্রবণো নিরৈক্ষত ॥3॥

Meaning
সুর-আপগায়াম্ - in the sacred river of the gods (Ganges); কিল তৌ মদোত্কটৌ - indeed, the two of them, intoxicated; সুরা-আপ-গাযত্- - wine having drunk and singing; বহু-য়ৌবত-আবৃতৌ - by many (such drunk) damsels surrounded; বিবাসিসৌ কেলিপরৌ - without clothes sporting; স নারদঃ - that (sage) Naarada (who); ভবত্-পদ-এক-প্রবণঃ - to Thy feet alone is devoted; নিরৈক্ষত - saw;

Translation
Naarada who is devoted to Thee alone, once saw these two sporting in the Ganges which is the river of the gods. They were in an intoxicated state having drunk wine and were surrounded by young intoxicated damsels, stark naked, singing and sporting in the Ganges waters.

শ্লোকঃ
ভিয়া প্রিয়ালোকমুপাত্তবাসসং
পুরো নিরীক্ষ্য়াপি মদাংধচেতসৌ ।
ইমৌ ভবদ্ভক্ত্য়ুপশাংতিসিদ্ধয়ে
মুনির্জগৌ শাংতিমৃতে কুতঃ সুখম্ ॥4॥

Meaning
ভিয়া প্রিয়া-লোকম্- - in fear, the dear women; উপাত্ত-বাসসং - put on the clothes; পুরঃ নিরীক্ষ্য়-অপি - in front seeing, even then; মদ-অংধ-চেতসৌ - by intoxication blind minded; ইমৌ - (to) these two; ভবত্-ভক্তি- - devotion to Thee; উপশাংতি-সিদ্ধয়ে - and mental peace, to achieve; মুনিঃ-জগৌ - the Muni said; শাংতিম্-ঋতে - without calmness of mind; কুতঃ সুখম্ - where is happiness;

Translation
At the sight of sage Naarada, the dear women hastily put on their clothes. Even then, with the mind blinded by intoxication, these two, continued to sport in nakedness. The Muni then pronounced thus (in the next shloka) in order for them to achieve devotion to Thee and mental peace. For without calmness of mind where is happiness?

শ্লোকঃ
যুবামবাপ্তৌ ককুভাত্মতাং চিরং
হরিং নিরীক্ষ্য়াথ পদং স্বমাপ্নুতম্ ।
ইতীরেতৌ তৌ ভবদীক্ষণস্পৃহাং
গতৌ ব্রজাংতে ককুভৌ বভূবতুঃ ॥5॥

Meaning
যুবাম্-অবাপ্তৌ - you two getting; ককুভ-আত্মতাং চিরং - the personification of Kakubh trees for long; হরিং নিরীক্ষ্য়-অথ - Hari seeing then; পদং স্বম্-আপ্নুতম্ - to your own state you two will get; ইতি-ঈরিতৌ তৌ - thus being told the two of them; ভবত্-ঈক্ষণ-স্পৃহাং - the vision of Thee desiring; গতৌ ব্রজ-অংতে - going to the outskirts of Gokul; ককুভৌ বভূবতুঃ - became Kakubha (Arjuna) trees;

Translation
You two will become Kakubha trees for long. Then when you see Hari, you two will get to your own state.' Being thus told by the sage, desiring to get Thy vision, they went to the outskirts of Vraja and became Kakubha trees.

শ্লোকঃ
অতংদ্রমিংদ্রদ্রুয়ুগং তথাবিধং
সমেয়ুষা মংথরগামিনা ত্বয়া ।
তিরায়িতোলূখলরোধনির্ধুতৌ
চিরায় জীর্ণৌ পরিপাতিতৌ তরূ ॥6॥

Meaning
অতংদ্রম্- - without pausing (Thee); ইংদ্র-দ্রু-য়ুগম্ - the two Arjuna trees; তথা-বিধম্ - which were such; সমেয়ুষা - were approached (by Thee); মংথর-গামিনা ত্বয়া - moving in slow pace by Thee; তিরায়ুত-উলূখল- - the crosswise mortar; রোধ-নির্ধুতৌ - obstructed and so uprooted; চিরায় জীর্ণৌ - for long decayed; পরিপাতিতৌ তরূ - and felled the trees;

Translation
Those two such Arjuna trees Thou approached in a slow pace without a pause, as Thou pulled along the crosswise mortar, which obstructed the aged and long decayed trees and felled them.

শ্লোকঃ
অভাজি শাখিদ্বিতয়ং যদা ত্বয়া
তদৈব তদ্গর্ভতলান্নিরেয়ুষা ।
মহাত্বিষা যক্ষয়ুগেন তত্ক্ষণা-
দভাজি গোবিংদ ভবানপি স্তবৈঃ ॥7॥

Meaning
অভাজি শাখিদ্বিতয়ং - felled the two trees; যদা ত্বয়া তদা-এব - when by Thee, just then; তত্-গর্ভ-তলাত্-নিরেয়ুষা - from their core emerged; মহাত্বিষা - the radiant; যক্ষয়ুগেন - pair of Yakshas(sons of Kuber) by whom; তত্-ক্ষণাত্-অভাজি - immediately were worshipped; গোবিংদ - O Govind!; ভবান্-অপি স্তবৈঃ - Thou also with hymns;

Translation
When the two trees were felled by Thee, just then from their root cores emerged a pair of radiant Yakshas. O Govinda! They immediately worshipped Thee with hymns.

শ্লোকঃ
ইহান্যভক্তোঽপি সমেষ্যতি ক্রমাত্
ভবংতমেতৌ খলু রুদ্রসেবকৌ ।
মুনিপ্রসাদাদ্ভব্দংঘ্রিমাগতৌ
গতৌ বৃণানৌ খলু ভক্তিমুত্তমাম্ ॥8॥

Meaning
ইহ-অন্য়-ভক্তঃ-অপি - here (in this world), devotees of other gods also; সমেষ্যতি - will certainly come; ক্রমাত্ ভবংতম্- - in due course to Thee; এতৌ খলু রুদ্র-সেবকৌ - these two, indeed, devotees of Rudra; মুনি-প্রসাদাত্- - by Muni Naarada's grace; ভবত্-অংঘ্রিম্- - Thy feet; আগতৌ গতৌ - reached, and went away; বৃণানৌ খলু - praying for, indeed; ভক্তিম্-উত্তমাম্ - the highest devotion (to Thee);

Translation
Here in this world, in due course, the devotees of other gods also certainly come to Thee only. These two devotees of Rudra, by the grace of Naarada, reached Thy feet. They prayed to Thee and beseeched for the highest devotion and went away.

শ্লোকঃ
ততস্তরূদ্দারণদারুণারব-
প্রকংপিসংপাতিনি গোপমংডলে ।
বিলজ্জিতত্বজ্জননীমুখেক্ষিণা
ব্যমোক্ষি নংদেন ভবান্ বিমোক্ষদঃ ॥9॥

Meaning
ততঃ-তরূ-দ্দারণ- - then by the falling of the trees; দারুণ-আরব- - the frightening sound (hearing); প্রকংপি-সংপাতিনি - trembling and rushing; গোপ-মংডলে - the group of Gopas; বিলজ্জিত-ত্বত্-জননী- - ashamed Thy mother; মুখ-ইক্ষিণা - her face being glanced at; ব্যমোক্ষি নংদেন - releasing Thee (glanced) by Nanda (meaningfully); ভবান্ বিমোক্ষদঃ - Thee, who releases all;

Translation
Then by the falling of the trees, which caused the frightening sound, the group of Gopas were frightened and rushed to the spot trembling. As Nanda glanced at Thy mother meaningfully, she felt very ashamed. He then released Thee from the mortar, who releases everyone from the bonds of Samsaara (the cycle of repeated life and death and the illusion of Maayaa).

শ্লোকঃ
মহীরুহোর্মধ্যগতো বতার্ভকো
হরেঃ প্রভাবাদপরিক্ষতোঽধুনা ।
ইতি ব্রুবাণৈর্গমিতো গৃহং ভবান্
মরুত্পুরাধীশ্বর পাহি মাং গদাত্ ॥10॥

Meaning
মহীরুহোঃ-মধ্য়-গতঃ - of the two trees, having entered their interspace (middle); বত-অর্ভকঃ - O what a wonder the child; হরেঃ প্রভাবাত্- - by God's grace; অপরিক্ষতঃ-অধুনা - is safe (unhurt), today; ইতি ব্রুবাণৈঃ- - thus by them who were saying; গমিতঃ গৃহং - (Thou) were taken to the house; ভবান্ মরুত্পুরাধীশ্বর - Thou O Lord of Guruvaayur!; পাহি মাং গদাত্ - save me from ailments;

Translation
Having entered the interspace of the two trees and the trees having fallen, it is only God's grace that the child is safe and unhurt today.' As they said so they carried Thee to the house. O Thou Lord of Guruvaayur! Save me from my ailments.
