Meaning
𑌕𑌂𑌸𑌃-𑌅𑌥 - Kansa then; 𑌨𑌾𑌰𑌦-𑌗𑌿𑌰𑌾 - from Naarada's speech; 𑌵𑍍𑌰𑌜𑌵𑌾𑌸𑌿𑌨𑌂 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌂 - (who was) residing in Vraja, Thee; 𑌆𑌕𑌰𑍍𑌣𑍍𑌯 - hearing (to be Naaraayana); 𑌦𑍀𑌰𑍍𑌣-𑌹𑍃𑌦𑌯𑌃 - with a fearful heart; 𑌸 𑌹𑌿 - he (Kansa) indeed; 𑌗𑌾𑌂𑌦𑌿𑌨𑍇𑌯𑌮𑍍 - the son of Gaandini (Akrura); 𑌆𑌹𑍂𑌯 - called; 𑌕𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌮𑍁𑌕-𑌮𑌖𑌃-𑌛𑌲𑌤𑌃 - (and in) the bow festival (sacrifice) pretext; 𑌭𑌵𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍-𑌆𑌨𑍇𑌤𑍁𑌮𑍍- - Thee to bring; 𑌏𑌨𑌮𑍍-𑌅𑌹𑌿𑌨𑍋𑌤𑍍- - him (Akrura) sent; 𑌅𑌹𑌿𑌨𑌾𑌥𑌶𑌾𑌯𑌿𑌨𑍍 - O Lord resting on the king of serpents;

Translation
Then when Kansa came to know from Naarada that, Thou, O Lord! resting on the serpent king! Were residing in Vraja, his heart was full of fear. He called for Akrur, the son of Gaandini, and sent him for Thee under the pretext of inviting Thee to witness the bow worshipping festival.

Meaning
𑌅𑌕𑍍𑌰𑍂𑌰 𑌏𑌷 - this Akrura; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌅𑌂𑌘𑍍𑌰𑌿-𑌪𑌰𑌃- - Thy feet devoted to; 𑌚𑌿𑌰𑌾𑌯 - since long; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌦𑌰𑍍𑌶𑌨-𑌅𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌮-𑌮𑌨𑌾𑌃 - Thy seeing impossible, thinking; 𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌿𑌤𑌿𑌪𑌾𑌲-𑌭𑍀𑌤𑍍𑌯𑌾 - because of the king's (Kansa's) fear; 𑌤𑌸𑍍𑌯-𑌆𑌜𑍍𑌞𑌯𑌾-𑌏𑌵 - by his (king's) orders only; 𑌪𑍁𑌨𑌃- - again; 𑌈𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌿𑌤𑍁𑌮𑍍-𑌉𑌦𑍍𑌯𑌤𑌃-𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌮𑍍- - to see (Thee) preparing, Thee; 𑌆𑌨𑌂𑌦-𑌭𑌾𑌰𑌮𑍍-𑌅𑌤𑌿- - with the joy full and intense; 𑌭𑍂𑌰𑌿𑌤𑌰𑌂 - very highly; 𑌬𑌭𑌾𑌰 - felt;

Translation
This Akrura for long was Thy devotee. Owing to the fear of Kansa he felt it was impossible to see Thee. Now he was overwhelmed with intense joy when by the order of the king himself he was preparing to see and meet Thee.

Meaning
𑌸-𑌅𑌯𑌂 - he this; 𑌰𑌥𑍇𑌨 - by a chariot; 𑌸𑍁𑌕𑍃𑌤𑍀 - the doer of meritorious deeds; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑌃 𑌨𑌿𑌵𑌾𑌸𑌂 - to Thy abode; 𑌗𑌚𑍍𑌛𑌨𑍍 - (while) going; 𑌮𑌨𑍋𑌰𑌥-𑌗𑌣𑌾𑌨𑍍- - thoughts innumerable; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌧𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌯𑌮𑌾𑌣𑌾𑌨𑍍 - in Thee placing; 𑌆𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌦𑌯𑌨𑍍 𑌮𑍁𑌹𑍁𑌃- - (and) experiencing again and again; 𑌅𑌪𑌾𑌯-𑌭𑌯𑍇𑌨 𑌦𑍈𑌵𑌂 - obstacles fear, to God; 𑌸𑌂𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌥𑌯𑌨𑍍 𑌪𑌥𑌿 - fervently praying, on the way; 𑌨 𑌕𑌿𑌂𑌚𑌿𑌤𑍍-𑌅𑌪𑌿 - did not anything at all; 𑌵𑍍𑌯𑌜𑌾𑌨𑌤𑍍 - notice;

Translation
This doer of meritorious deed, Akrura, travelled in a chariot to Thy abode. On the way his innumerable thoughts were centered around Thee and so he again and again experienced Thy presence. He feared and fervently prayed for the removal of all possible obstacles to this meeting with Thee and so he did not notice anything on the way.

Meaning
𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌕𑍍𑌷𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌮𑌿 - will see; 𑌵𑍇𑌦-𑌶𑌤-𑌗𑍀𑌤-𑌗𑌤𑌿𑌂 - in the Vedas (of whom) hundreds of hymns (are sung) that goal; 𑌪𑍁𑌮𑌾𑌂𑌸𑌂 - the Great One; 𑌸𑍍𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌕𑍍𑌷𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌮𑌿 - will touch; 𑌕𑌿𑌂𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌿𑌤𑍍-𑌅𑌪𑌿 - slightly even; 𑌨𑌾𑌮 𑌪𑌰𑌿𑌷𑍍𑌵𑌜𑍇𑌯𑌮𑍍 - will at all embrace; 𑌕𑌿𑌂 𑌵𑌕𑍍𑌷𑍍𑌯𑌤𑍇 - what will he say; 𑌸 𑌖𑌲𑍁 𑌮𑌾𑌂 - he indeed to me; 𑌕𑍍𑌵𑌨𑍁 𑌵𑍀𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌿𑌤𑌃 𑌸𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌤𑍍 - where seen will he be; 𑌇𑌤𑍍𑌥𑌂 𑌨𑌿𑌨𑌾𑌯 - in this manner, carrying along; 𑌸 𑌭𑌵𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌯𑌮𑍍-𑌏𑌵 - he (Akrura) immersed in Thee only; 𑌮𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌗𑌮𑍍 - in the way (went);

Translation
All along the way he was immersed in Thy thoughts alone - 'Shall I be blessed to meet the Supreme Being who is the subject of all Vedic hymns? Will I be able to touch him even slightly? Will he embrace me? What will he say to me? Where will I see him?' He went along the way thinking in this manner.

𑌭𑍂𑌯𑌃 𑌕𑍍𑌰𑌮𑌾𑌤𑍍- - again gradually; 𑌅𑌭𑌿𑌵𑌿𑌶𑌨𑍍 - entering; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌅𑌂𑌘𑍍𑌰𑌿-𑌪𑍂𑌤𑌮𑍍 - by Thy feet purified; 𑌵𑍃𑌂𑌦𑌾𑌵𑌨𑌮𑍍 - Vrindaavana; 𑌹𑌰𑍍-𑌵𑌿𑌰𑌿𑌂𑌚-𑌸𑍁𑌰- - by Shiva Brahma and other gods; 𑌅𑌭𑌿𑌵𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌯𑌮𑍍 - honoured; 𑌆𑌨𑌂𑌦-𑌮𑌗𑍍𑌨 𑌇𑌵 - in bliss immersed as if; 𑌲𑌗𑍍𑌨 𑌇𑌵 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌮𑍋𑌹𑍇 - under as if a spell; 𑌕𑌿𑌂 𑌕𑌿𑌂 - what what; 𑌦𑌶𑌾𑌂𑌤𑌰𑌮𑍍- - states (of ecstasy); 𑌅𑌵𑌾𑌪 𑌨 - attain not (he); 𑌪𑌂𑌕𑌜𑌾𑌕𑍍𑌷 - O Lotus Eyed One!;

Translation
O Lotus Eyed One! He gradually entered Vrindaavana which is sanctified by Thy feet and revered by Shiva, Brahma and other gods. As Akrura approached Vrindaavana he was as if immersed in bliss or was under a spell. What states of ecstasy did he not attain!

𑌪𑌶𑍍𑌯𑌨𑍍-𑌅𑌵𑌂𑌦𑌤 - seeing, he prostrated; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌵𑌿𑌹𑍃𑌤𑌿-𑌸𑍍𑌥𑌲𑌾𑌨𑌿 - Thy sporting places; 𑌪𑌾𑌂𑌸𑍁𑌷𑍁-𑌅𑌵𑍇𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌤 - in the dust rolled; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌚𑌰𑌣-𑌅𑌂𑌕𑌿𑌤𑍇𑌷𑍁 - by Thy feet (which was) marked; 𑌕𑌿𑌂 𑌬𑍍𑌰𑍂𑌮𑌹𑍇 - what shall I say; 𑌬𑌹𑍁𑌜𑌨𑌾 𑌹𑌿 - many people indeed; 𑌤𑌦𑌾𑌪𑌿 𑌜𑌾𑌤𑌾 - at that time also were born; 𑌏𑌵𑌂 𑌤𑍁 - like this, but; 𑌭𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌤𑌰𑌲𑌾𑌃 - devotees intense; 𑌵𑌿𑌰𑌲𑌾𑌃 - were few; 𑌪𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌨𑍍 - O Lord!;

Translation
O Lord! Coming to the places where Thou sported, he prostrated. He rolled in the dust which had imprints of Thy feet. O what shall I say! His state is beyond description. At that time also many devotees were born but such ardent devotees were few indeed.

Meaning
𑌸𑌾𑌯𑌂 𑌸 - at dusk, he (Akrura); 𑌗𑍋𑌪-𑌭𑌵𑌨𑌾𑌨𑌿 - (from) the Gopa houses; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌚𑌰𑌿𑌤𑍍𑌰- - Thy doings; 𑌗𑍀𑌤-𑌅𑌮𑍃𑌤-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌸𑍃𑌤- - sung (like) nectar flowing; 𑌕𑌰𑍍𑌣-𑌰𑌸𑌾𑌯𑌨𑌾𑌨𑌿 - for the ears, feast (like); 𑌪𑌶𑍍𑌯𑌨𑍍 - seeing; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌮𑍋𑌦-𑌸𑌰𑌿𑌤𑌾-𑌇𑌵 - bliss river like; 𑌕𑌿𑌲-𑌉𑌹𑍍𑌯𑌮𑌾𑌨𑌃 - indeed carried away; 𑌗𑌚𑍍𑌛𑌨𑍍 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍- - going, Thy; 𑌭𑌵𑌨-𑌸𑌨𑍍𑌨𑌿𑌧𑌿𑌮𑍍- - abodes near to; 𑌅𑌨𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌾𑌸𑍀𑌤𑍍 - reached;

Translation
Akrura reached the vicinity of Thy residence by dusk. He passed by the houses of the Gopas from where flowed the soothing to the ear, nectar like strains sung about Thy sportive deed. Seeing this he was as though carried away and caught in the current of a river of bliss and spiritual joy.

𑌤𑌾𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌦𑌦𑌰𑍍𑌶 - then (he) saw; 𑌪𑌶𑍁-𑌦𑍋𑌹- - the cows milked; 𑌵𑌿𑌲𑍋𑌕-𑌲𑍋𑌲𑌂 - watching eagerly; 𑌭𑌕𑍍𑌤-𑌉𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌮-𑌆𑌗𑌤𑌿𑌮𑍍- - the great devotee,s coming; 𑌇𑌵 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌤𑌿𑌪𑌾𑌲𑌯𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍 - as if awaiting; 𑌭𑍂𑌮𑌨𑍍 - O Infinite Lord!; 𑌭𑌵𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍-𑌅𑌯𑌮𑍍- - Thee, this (Akrura); 𑌅𑌗𑍍𑌰𑌜𑌵𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍- - with (Thy) elder brother (saw); 𑌅𑌂𑌤𑌃-𑌬𑍍𑌰𑌹𑍍𑌮-𑌅𑌨𑍁𑌭𑍂𑌤𑌿- - (his own) internal Brahmic experiences'; 𑌰𑌸-𑌸𑌿𑌂𑌧𑍁𑌮𑍍-𑌇𑌵-𑌉𑌦𑍍𑌵𑌮𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍 - nectar ocean as if flowing (outwardly);

Translation
O Infinite Lord! Then Akrura saw Thee with Thy elder brother Balaraam, eagerly watching the milking of the cows, and it seemed like Thou were awaiting the arrival of a great devotee (Akrura himself). It was as if Akrura's internal Brahmic experience was flowing outwardly like a nectar ocean personified as Thee.

𑌸𑌾𑌯𑌂𑌤𑌨-𑌆𑌪𑍍𑌲𑌵 - the evening bath; 𑌵𑌿𑌶𑍇𑌷-𑌵𑌿𑌵𑌿𑌕𑍍𑌤- - well cleaned; 𑌗𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌰𑍌 𑌦𑍍𑌵𑍌 - bodied both (in); 𑌪𑍀𑌤-𑌨𑍀𑌲- - yellow and blue; 𑌰𑍁𑌚𑌿𑌰-𑌅𑌂𑌬𑌰- - beautiful garments; 𑌲𑍋𑌭𑌨𑍀𑌯𑍌 - attractive; 𑌨-𑌅𑌤𑌿-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌪𑌂𑌚- - not very clustered; 𑌧𑍃𑌤-𑌭𑍂𑌷𑌣 - wearing ornaments; 𑌚𑌾𑌰𑍁-𑌵𑍇𑌷𑍌 - charming appearance; 𑌮𑌂𑌦𑍍-𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌿𑌤- - soft smiling; 𑌆𑌰𑍍𑌦𑍍𑌰-𑌵𑌦𑌨𑍌 - gentle faced; 𑌸 - he (Akrura); 𑌯𑍁𑌵𑌾𑌂 𑌦𑌦𑌰𑍍𑌶 - Thou two saw;

Translation
Akrura saw Thee and Balaraam, both neat and tidy after the evening bath, dressed in beautiful yellow and blue garments, wearing a few ornaments and looking charming in appearance. A soft smile played on Thy gentle faces.

𑌦𑍂𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍-𑌰𑌥𑌾𑌤𑍍- - from afar, from the chariot; 𑌸𑌮𑌵𑌰𑍁𑌹𑍍𑌯 - getting down; 𑌨𑌮𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍-𑌏𑌨𑌮𑍍- - (who was) prostrating, him; 𑌉𑌤𑍍𑌥𑌾𑌪𑍍𑌯 - lifting up; 𑌭𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌕𑍁𑌲-𑌮𑍌𑌲𑌿𑌂- - the devotee clan's crown (Akrura); 𑌅𑌥-𑌉𑌪𑌗𑍂𑌹𑌨𑍍 - then embracing; 𑌹𑌰𑍍𑌷𑌾𑌤𑍍- - joyfully; 𑌮𑌿𑌤-𑌅𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌰-𑌗𑌿𑌰𑌾 - with few words speech; 𑌕𑍁𑌶𑌲-𑌅𑌨𑍁𑌯𑍋𑌗𑍀 - welfare enquiring; 𑌪𑌾𑌣𑌿𑌂 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌗𑍃𑌹𑍍𑌯 - (his) hands taking; 𑌸𑌬𑌲𑌃- 𑌅𑌥 - with Balaraam, then; 𑌗𑍃𑌹𑌂 𑌨𑌿𑌨𑍇𑌥 - to the house led;

Translation
The crown of the devotees Akrura got down from the chariot. Thou lifted him up in great joy as he prostrated before Thee. Thou embraced him and in a few words enquired about his wellbeing. Holding his hand Thou and Balaraam led him to Thy house.

Translation
With Nanda Gopa Thou very respectfully honoured the Yaadava Akrura and listened to the message of his mission. Thou communicated to the Gopas about the news of the king's command. That night Thou spent conversing with Akrura on various matters.

𑌚𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌾 𑌗𑍃𑌹𑍇 - in Chandraa's house; 𑌕𑌿𑌮𑍁𑌤 - or; 𑌚𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌭𑌗𑌾 𑌗𑍃𑌹𑍇 - in Chandrabhaagaa's house; 𑌨𑍁 - is it so; 𑌰𑌾𑌧𑌾 𑌗𑍃𑌹𑍇 𑌨𑍁 - or in Raadhaa's house is it; 𑌕𑌿𑌮𑍁 𑌮𑍈𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌵𑌿𑌂𑌦𑍇 - or in Mitravrindaa's; 𑌧𑍂𑌰𑍍𑌤𑌃 𑌵𑌿𑌲𑌂𑌬𑌤𑍇 - the rascal (Krishna) is tarrying; 𑌇𑌤𑌿 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌮𑌦𑌾𑌭𑌿𑌃- - thus by the ladies; 𑌉𑌚𑍍𑌚𑍈𑌃 𑌆𑌶𑌂𑌕𑌿𑌤𑌃 - greatly suspected; 𑌨𑌿𑌶𑌿 - in the night; 𑌮𑌰𑍁𑌤𑍍𑌪𑍁𑌰𑌨𑌾𑌥 - O Lord of Guruvaayur!; 𑌪𑌾𑌯𑌾𑌃 - protect me;

Translation
That night Thou failed to meet the Gopikas. The ladies suspected that the rascal that Thou were may be tarrying in the house of Chandra, or Chandrabhaagaa, or Raadhaa or Mitravrindaa, in the night. O Lord of Guruvaayur! Protect me.
