𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌯𑌵𑍍𑌰𑌤𑌸𑍍𑌯 - of Priyavrata; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌯𑌪𑍁𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌭𑍂𑌤𑌾𑌤𑍍-𑌆𑌗𑍍𑌨𑍀𑌧𑍍𑌰-𑌰𑌾𑌜𑌾𑌤𑍍- - from the dear son king Aagnidhra; 𑌉𑌦𑌿𑌤𑌃 𑌹𑌿 𑌨𑌾𑌭𑌿𑌃 - was born Naabhi, indeed,; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌂 𑌦𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌵𑌾𑌨𑍍-𑌇𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌦𑌮𑍍- - (he) saw Thee the fulfiller of desire; 𑌇𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌿-𑌮𑌧𑍍𑌯𑍇 - during the Yanjya; 𑌤𑌵-𑌏𑌵 𑌤𑍁𑌷𑍍𑌟𑍍𑌯𑍈 - for propitiating Thee alone; 𑌕𑍃𑌤-𑌯𑌜𑍍𑌞-𑌕𑌰𑍍𑌮𑌾 - (who) had performed a Yanjya;

Translation
King Priyavrata had a dear son named Asgnidhra king, of whom Naabhi was born. While Naabhi was performing a Yanjya, for propitiating Thee, he had a vision of Thee, the bestower of desired boons to devotees.

𑌅𑌭𑌿𑌷𑍍𑌟𑍁𑌤𑌃-𑌤𑌤𑍍𑌰 - being praised there (in the yanjya); 𑌮𑍁𑌨𑍀𑌶𑍍𑌵𑌰𑍈𑌃-𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌂 - by the great sages Thou; 𑌰𑌾𑌜𑍍𑌞𑌃 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌤𑍁𑌲𑍍𑌯𑌂 𑌸𑍁𑌤𑌮𑍍- - for the king a son like Thee; 𑌅𑌰𑍍𑌥𑍍𑌯𑌮𑌾𑌨𑌃 - being prayed for; 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌂 𑌜𑌨𑌿𑌷𑍍𑌯𑍇-𑌅𑌹𑌮𑍍- - I shall Myself be born; 𑌇𑌤𑌿 𑌬𑍍𑌰𑍁𑌵𑌾𑌣𑌃- - saying thus; 𑌤𑌿𑌰𑍋𑌦𑌧𑌾 𑌬𑌰𑍍𑌹𑌿𑌷𑌿 - (Thou) disappeared in the sacrificial fire; 𑌵𑌿𑌶𑍍𑌵𑌮𑍂𑌰𑍍𑌤𑍇 - O Lord! With the cosmos as Thy form;

Translation
O Lord of the whole universe! The sages sang Thy praises and the king prayed to Thee for a son like Thyself. Thou then declared that Thou would Thyself be born as his son and then Thou disappeared in the sacrificial fire.

Translation
Then Thou were born as a part incarnation with the name Rishabha to Merudevi the wife of Naabhi. Thou delighted everyone with sublime virtues and glory not commonly seen in the world.

Meaning
𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌲𑍋𑌕𑍀𑌭𑍃𑌤𑌿 - On Thee, the ruler of the three worlds; 𑌰𑌾𑌜𑍍𑌯-𑌭𑌾𑌰𑌂 𑌨𑌿𑌧𑌾𑌯 - transferring the responsibility of governance; 𑌨𑌾𑌭𑌿𑌃 𑌸𑌹 𑌮𑍇𑌰𑍁𑌦𑍇𑌵𑍍𑌯𑌾 - Naabhi along with Merudevi; 𑌤𑌪𑍋𑌵𑌨𑌂 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌪𑍍𑌯 - reaching the forest; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌨𑌿𑌷𑍇𑌵𑍀 - and worshipping Thee; 𑌗𑌤𑌃 𑌕𑌿𑌲-𑌆𑌨𑌂𑌦𑌪𑌦𑌂 - indeed attained the state of bliss; 𑌪𑌦𑌂 𑌤𑍇 - abode of Thine;

Translation
Naabhi entrusted the administration of the kingdom to Thee, who are the ruler of the three worlds and went away to the forest with his wife Merudevi to lead an ascetic life. Worshipping Thee there, he attained to Thy state of Supreme Bliss.

𑌇𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌃-𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌉𑌤𑍍𑌕𑌰𑍍𑌷𑌕𑍃𑌤𑌾𑌤𑍍- - Indra by Thy achievements; 𑌅𑌮𑌰𑍍𑌷𑌾𑌤𑍍 - out of jealousy; 𑌵𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌷 𑌨-𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌿𑌨𑍍- - did not shower rain on this; 𑌅𑌜𑌨𑌾𑌭𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌷𑍇 - (land) Ajanaabh-varsha; 𑌯𑌦𑌾 𑌤𑌦𑌾 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌂 - when (this happened) then Thou; 𑌨𑌿𑌜-𑌯𑍋𑌗-𑌶𑌕𑍍𑌤𑍍𑌯𑌾 - by Thy yogic power; 𑌸𑍍𑌵-𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌷𑌮𑍍-𑌏𑌨𑌤𑍍- - on Thy own kingdom brought; 𑌵𑍍𑌯𑌦𑌧𑌾𑌃 𑌸𑍁𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌷𑌮𑍍 - abundant rainfall;

Translation
Owing to jealousy at the prosperity of the world generated by Thy (Rishabha's) greatness, Indra withheld rain from the continent Ajanaabha. Thereupon Thou by Thy yogic power brought enough rain on this Thy continent.

𑌜𑌿𑌤𑍇𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌦𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌾𑌂 𑌕𑌮𑌨𑍀𑌂 𑌜𑌯𑌂𑌤𑍀-
𑌮𑌥𑍋𑌦𑍍𑌵𑌹𑌨𑍍𑌨𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌰𑌤𑌾𑌶𑌯𑍋𑌽𑌪𑌿 ।

𑌜𑌿𑌤𑍇𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰-𑌦𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌾𑌂 - given by Indra; 𑌕𑌮𑌨𑍀𑌂 𑌜𑌯𑌂𑌤𑍀𑌮𑍍- - beautiful Jayanti; 𑌅𑌥-𑌉𑌦𑍍𑌵𑌹𑌨𑍍- - then marrying; 𑌆𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌰𑌤-𑌆𑌶𑌯𑌃-𑌅𑌪𑌿 - even though ever absorbed in Brahman; 𑌅𑌜𑍀𑌜𑌨𑌃-𑌤𑌤𑍍𑌰 𑌶𑌤𑌂 𑌤𑌨𑍂𑌜𑌾𑌨𑍍- - (he) begot hundred sons; 𑌏𑌷𑌾𑌂 𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌿𑌤𑍀𑌶𑌃 𑌭𑌰𑌤𑌃- - among them, king Bharat; 𑌅𑌗𑍍𑌰-𑌜𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌾 - was the eldest;

Translation
Thus defeated, Indra bestowed beautiful Jayanti on Thee as Thy wife. Though Thou were ever absorbed in the Aatman, Thou begot in her one hundred sons, the eldest of whom was king Bharat.

Translation
Nine of them became great yogis, and another nine ruled over the various regions of Bhaaaratavarsha. Thy remaining eighty-one sons attained Braahminhood by the power of their austerities.

Meaning
𑌉𑌕𑍍𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌾 𑌸𑍁𑌤𑍇𑌭𑍍𑌯𑌃-𑌅𑌥 - instructing the sons then; 𑌮𑍁𑌨𑍀𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰-𑌮𑌧𑍍𑌯𑍇 - in the midst of great sages; 𑌵𑌿𑌰𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿-𑌭𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿-𑌅𑌨𑍍𑌵𑌿𑌤- - comprising of renunciation and devotion; 𑌮𑍁𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿-𑌮𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌗𑌮𑍍 - the path of liberation; 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌂 𑌗𑌤𑌃 - Thyself went (took to); 𑌪𑌾𑌰𑌮𑌹𑌂𑌸𑍍𑌯𑌵𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌮𑍍- - the way of the life of Paramahansas; 𑌅𑌧𑌾𑌃 - adopting; 𑌜𑌡-𑌉𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌤𑍍𑌤-𑌪𑌿𑌶𑌾𑌚-𑌚𑌰𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌮𑍍 - the behaviour of idiots lunatics and ghosts;

Translation
Afterwards Thou instructed Thy sons along with the great ascetics in the path of salvation through renunciation and devotion. Then adopting the life of a total renunciate Thou moved about behaving like an idiot, a mad man or a ghost.

𑌪𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌭𑍂𑌤𑌃-𑌅𑌪𑌿 - though one with the Supreme Aatman; 𑌪𑌰-𑌉𑌪𑌦𑍇𑌶𑌂 𑌕𑍁𑌰𑍍𑌵𑌨𑍍 - giving instructions to others; 𑌭𑌵𑌾𑌨𑍍 𑌸𑌰𑍍𑌵-𑌨𑌿𑌰𑌸𑍍𑌯-𑌮𑌾𑌨𑌃 - Thou being insulted by others; 𑌵𑌿𑌕𑌾𑌰-𑌹𑍀𑌨𑌃 - free from attachment (or aversion); 𑌵𑌿𑌚𑌚𑌾𑌰 - wondered; 𑌕𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌸𑍍𑌨𑌾𑌂 𑌮𑌹𑍀𑌮𑍍- - all over the earth; 𑌅𑌹𑍀𑌨-𑌆𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌰𑌸-𑌅𑌭𑌿𑌲𑍀𑌨𑌃 - completely absorbed in the bliss of the Supreme Self;

Though Thou had attained complete identity with the Brahman, Thou continued to impart knowledge to others. Thou were free from attachment and aversion, though Thou were treated with indifference.Thou wandered all over the earth completely absorbed in the bliss of the Supreme self.

𑌶𑌯𑍁-𑌵𑍍𑌰𑌤𑌮𑍍 - the way of the life of the python; 𑌗𑍋-𑌮𑍃𑌗-𑌕𑌾𑌕-𑌚𑌰𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌮𑍍 - and the ways of the cow, dear and crow; 𑌚𑌿𑌰𑌂 𑌚𑌰𑌨𑍍- - practising for a long time; 𑌆𑌪𑍍𑌯 𑌪𑌰𑌂 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌰𑍂𑌪𑌂 - attaining oneness with the Supreme Brahman; 𑌦𑌵𑌾-𑌹𑍃𑌤-𑌅𑌂𑌗𑌃 - with body perishing in the forest fire; 𑌕𑍁𑌟𑌕𑌾𑌚𑌲𑍇 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌂 - in the Coorg mountains, Thou; 𑌤𑌾𑌪𑌾𑌨𑍍 𑌮𑌮-𑌅𑌪𑌾𑌕𑍁𑌰𑍁 - ailments of mine do destroy; 𑌵𑌾𑌤𑌨𑌾𑌥 - O Lord of Guruvaayur!;

Translation
Observing the ways of the life of a python, a cow, a deer, and a crow, Thou wandered about for long, attaining identity with the Supreme Brahman. Thy body then perished in the forest fire in the Coorg mountains. O Lord of Guruvaayur! Deign to eradicate my afflictions.
