Meaning
𑌏𑌵𑌂 𑌤𑌾𑌵𑌤𑍍 - in this manner then; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌕𑍃𑌤-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌕𑍍𑌷𑌯-𑌅𑌂𑌤𑍇 - at the close of the Prakrit Pralaya (total dissolution); 𑌬𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌹𑍍𑌮𑍇 𑌕𑌲𑍍𑌪𑍇 𑌹𑌿 𑌆𑌦𑌿𑌮𑍇 - in Braahmakalpa which is the very first; 𑌲𑌬𑍍𑌧-𑌜𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌾 𑌬𑍍𑌰𑌹𑍍𑌮𑌾 - having come into existence a new Brahmaa; 𑌭𑍂𑌯𑌃 - 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌃 - again, from Thee alone; 𑌏𑌵-𑌆𑌪𑍍𑌯 𑌵𑍇𑌦𑌾𑌨𑍍 - receiving the knowledge of the Vedas; 𑌸𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌿𑌂 𑌚𑌕𑍍𑌰𑍇 - started creation; 𑌪𑍂𑌰𑍍𑌵-𑌕𑌲𑍍𑌪-𑌉𑌪𑌮𑌾𑌨𑌾𑌮𑍍 - in the same way as in the previous Kalpa;

Translation
At the end of the Prakrit Pralaya, in the first Kalpa which is known as Braahma Kalpa, Brahmaa came into existence. He got the knowledge of the Vedas from Thee alone and began creation in the same way as in the previous Kalpas.

𑌸𑍋𑌽𑌯𑌂 𑌚𑌤𑍁𑌰𑍍𑌯𑍁𑌗𑌸𑌹𑌸𑍍𑌰𑌮𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌨𑍍𑌯𑌹𑌾𑌨𑌿
𑌤𑌾𑌵𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌶𑍍𑌚 𑌰𑌜𑌨𑍀𑌰𑍍𑌬𑌹𑍁𑌶𑍋 𑌨𑌿𑌨𑌾𑌯 ।
𑌨𑌿𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌯𑌸𑍌 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌨𑌿𑌲𑍀𑌯 𑌸𑌮𑌂 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌸𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑍈-
𑌰𑍍𑌨𑍈𑌮𑌿𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌕𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌲𑌯𑌮𑌾𑌹𑍁𑌰𑌤𑍋𑌽𑌸𑍍𑌯 𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌮𑍍 ॥2॥

Meaning
𑌸𑌃 -𑌅𑌯𑌂 - that this (Brahmaa); 𑌚𑌤𑍁𑌃 -𑌯𑍁𑌗-𑌸𑌹𑍍𑌸𑍍𑌰-𑌮𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌨𑌿- - over a period of 1000 chaturyugas; 𑌅𑌹𑌾𑌨𑌿 - (which are his) day; 𑌤𑌾𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌮𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌃- - and as many; 𑌚 𑌰𑌜𑌨𑍀𑌃 - nights; 𑌬𑌹𑍁𑌶𑌃 𑌨𑌿𑌨𑌾𑌯 - many times having spent; 𑌨𑌿𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌤𑌿-𑌅𑌸𑍌 - he sleeps; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌨𑌿𑌲𑍀𑌯 - merging in Thee; 𑌸𑌮𑌂 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌸𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑍈𑌃- - along with all his creation; 𑌨𑍈𑌮𑌿𑌤𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌕-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌲𑌯𑌮𑍍-𑌆𑌹𑍁𑌃 - - (this period) is called Naimittika Pralaya; 𑌅𑌤𑌃 -𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌯 𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌮𑍍 - which is his night time;

Translation
One thousand Chaturyugaas make one day for this Brahma, and an equal duration is his night. During his day time he creates and at night he sleeps. His night is called the Naimittika Pralaya, when along with his creation he merges in Thee. Thus he spent many days and nights.

𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌾𑌦𑍃𑌶𑌾𑌂 𑌪𑍁𑌨𑌰𑌹𑌰𑍍𑌮𑍁𑌖𑌕𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌯𑌤𑍁𑌲𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌂

Meaning
𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌾𑌦𑍃𑌶𑌾𑌂 𑌪𑍁𑌨𑌃 - - like we people (the mortals) again; 𑌅𑌹𑌃 -𑌮𑍁𑌖-𑌕𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌯-𑌤𑍁𑌲𑍍𑌯𑌾𑌂 - at the beginning of the day's morning duties; 𑌸𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌿𑌂 𑌕𑌰𑍋𑌤𑌿-𑌅𑌨𑍁𑌦𑌿𑌨𑌂 𑌸 - he (Brahmaa) does the work of creation every day; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌸𑌾𑌦𑌾𑌤𑍍 - by Thy grace; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌕𑍍-𑌬𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌹𑍍𑌮𑌕𑌲𑍍𑌪-𑌜𑌨𑍁𑌷𑌾𑌂 - earlier than the BraahmaKalpa those who were born; 𑌚 𑌪𑌰-𑌆𑌯𑍁𑌷𑌾𑌂 𑌤𑍁 - and for the eternal souls, however; 𑌸𑍁𑌪𑍍𑌤-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌬𑍋𑌧𑌨-𑌸𑌮𑌾-𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌤𑌿 - (creation) is like waking up from sleep; 𑌤𑌦𑌾-𑌅𑌪𑌿 𑌸𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌿𑌃 - even when it is creation;

Translation
Brahmaa, by Thy grace performs creation every day just as humans like us wake up in the morning and start our daily duties. For those who were born before the Braahma Kalpa, and for the eternal souls, being born in the new Kalpa is like getting up from sleep.

𑌶𑍍𑌲𑍋𑌕𑌃
𑌪𑌂𑌚𑌾𑌶𑌦𑌬𑍍𑌦𑌮𑌧𑍁𑌨𑌾 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌵𑌯𑍋𑌰𑍍𑌧𑌰𑍂𑌪-
𑌮𑍇𑌕𑌂 𑌪𑌰𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌧𑌮𑌤𑌿𑌵𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌯 𑌹𑌿 𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌤𑌤𑍇𑌽𑌸𑍌 ।

Meaning
𑌪𑌂𑌚𑌾𑌶𑌤𑍍-𑌅𑌬𑍍𑌦𑌮𑍍-𑌅𑌧𑍁𑌨𑌾 - fifty years now; 𑌸𑍍𑌵-𑌵𑌯𑌃 -𑌅𑌰𑍍𑌧-𑌰𑍂𑌪𑌮𑍍- - his half life span; 𑌏𑌕𑌂 𑌪𑌰𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌧𑌮𑍍- - (which is) one paraardha; 𑌅𑌤𑌿𑌵𑍃𑌤𑍍𑌯 𑌹𑌿 𑌵𑌰𑍍𑌤𑌤𑍇-𑌅𑌸𑍌 - having crossed, indeed, remains he (Brahmaa); 𑌤𑌤𑍍𑌰-𑌅𑌂𑌤𑍍𑌯-𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌰𑌿-𑌜𑌨𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌨𑍍 - there, at the last of those nights, what took place; 𑌕𑌥𑌯𑌾𑌮𑌿 - I will narrate; 𑌭𑍂𑌮𑌨𑍍 - O Infinite Being!; 𑌪𑌶𑍍𑌚𑌾𑌤𑍍-𑌦𑌿𑌨-𑌅𑌵𑌤𑌰𑌣𑍇 𑌚 - and after that, at the beginning of the (next) day; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌵𑌿𑌲𑌾𑌸𑌾𑌨𑍍 - (regarding) Thy sportive activities (I shall narrate);

Translation
O Infinite Being! Brahmaa ruling over the present cycle has now completed fifty years of his life,which is known as one paraardha. I shall now narrate Thy sportive activities during the previous night of Brahma and at the beginning of the next morning of the present paraardha.

𑌦𑌿𑌨𑌾𑌵𑌸𑌾𑌨𑍇𑌽𑌥 𑌸𑌰𑍋𑌜𑌯𑍋𑌨𑌿𑌃

𑌦𑌿𑌨-𑌅𑌵𑌸𑌾𑌨𑍇-𑌅𑌥 - then, at the end of the day; 𑌸𑌰𑍋𑌜𑌯𑍋𑌨𑌿𑌃 - the lotus born (Brahmaa); 𑌸𑍁𑌷𑍁𑌪𑍍𑌤𑌿-𑌕𑌾𑌮𑌃 - - to sleep desiring; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌸𑌨𑍍𑌨𑌿𑌲𑌿𑌲𑍍𑌯𑍇 - in Thee merged; 𑌜𑌗𑌂𑌤𑌿 𑌚 - and the worlds (also); 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌜𑌠𑌰𑌂 𑌸𑌮𑍀𑌯𑍁𑌃 - - in Thy abdomen, merged; 𑌤𑌤𑍍-𑌇𑌦𑌮𑍍-𑌏𑌕-𑌅𑌰𑍍𑌣𑌵𑌮𑍍-𑌆𑌸 𑌵𑌿𑌶𑍍𑌵𑌮𑍍 - that this universe became one ocean;

Translation
O Lord! At the end of a creative day of Brahmaa, desirous of sleep, he along with the world merged in Thy abdomen in subtle form. At that time the whole universe became one big ocean.

𑌤𑌵𑍈𑌵 𑌵𑍇𑌷𑍇 𑌫𑌣𑌿𑌰𑌾𑌜𑌿 𑌶𑍇𑌷𑍇

𑌆𑌨𑌂𑌦𑌸𑌾𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌨𑍁𑌭𑌵𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌰𑍂𑌪𑌃
𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌯𑍋𑌗𑌨𑌿𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌪𑌰𑌿𑌮𑍁𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌤𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌾 ॥6॥

Meaning
𑌤𑌵-𑌏𑌵 𑌵𑍇𑌷𑍇 - in Thy form alone; 𑌫𑌣𑌿𑌰𑌾𑌜𑌿 𑌶𑍇𑌷𑍇 - (who is) on the king of serpents, sleeping; 𑌜𑌲-𑌏𑌕-𑌶𑍇𑌷𑍇 𑌭𑍁𑌵𑌨𑍇 - with nothing but waters as the universe; 𑌸𑍍𑌮 𑌶𑍇𑌷𑍇 - (Thou) reclined (on the serpent bed); 𑌆𑌨𑌂𑌦-𑌸𑌾𑌂𑌦𑍍𑌰-𑌅𑌨𑍁𑌭𑌵-𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌰𑍂𑌪𑌃 - of the nature of giving experience saturated bliss; 𑌸𑍍𑌵-𑌯𑍋𑌗-𑌨𑌿𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌾-𑌪𑌰𑌿𑌮𑍁𑌦𑍍𑌰𑌿𑌤-𑌆𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌾 - (Thou) in yoga slumber engaging Thyself;

Translation
O Lord! At the time when the whole universe was reduced to causal waters, Thou reclined on Aadi Shesha, the king of serpents who is also one of Thy manifestations. Thou were absorbed in yoga nidraa, in a state of pure bliss.

Meaning
𑌕𑌾𑌲-𑌆𑌖𑍍𑌯-𑌶𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌂 - (Thy) power called Time; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌲𑌯-𑌅𑌵𑌸𑌾𑌨𑍇 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌬𑍋𑌧𑌯- - at the end of the deluge awaken me'; 𑌇𑌤𑌿-𑌆𑌦𑌿𑌶𑌤𑌾 - thus commanding, it is said; 𑌕𑌿𑌲-𑌆𑌦𑍌 - at the beginning of (the pralaya); 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌾 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌸𑍁𑌪𑍍𑌤𑌂 - Thou slept; 𑌪𑌰𑌿𑌸𑍁𑌪𑍍𑌤-𑌶𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿-𑌵𑍍𑌰𑌜𑍇𑌨 𑌤𑌤𑍍𑌰 - in whom all the energies had become latent, at that time; 𑌅𑌖𑌿𑌲 𑌜𑍀𑌵𑌧𑌾𑌮𑍍𑌨𑌾 - (and who is) the abode of all jivas;

Translation
Thou commanded Thy power which is called Time to awaken Thee at the end of the deluge (Pralaya). Then, at the beginning of the Pralaya Thou resorted to sleep with all the various energies and the jeevas merged in Thee.

𑌚𑌤𑍁𑌰𑍍𑌯𑍁𑌗𑌾𑌣𑌾𑌂 𑌚 𑌸𑌹𑌸𑍍𑌰𑌮𑍍- - and for a thousand chaturygas; 𑌏𑌵𑌂 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌿 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌸𑍁𑌪𑍍𑌤𑍇 - thus Thou having slept; 𑌪𑍁𑌨𑌃 -𑌅𑌦𑍍𑌵𑌿𑌤𑍀𑌯𑍇 - then with no one else besides Thou; 𑌕𑌾𑌲-𑌆𑌖𑍍𑌯-𑌶𑌕𑍍𑌤𑌿𑌃 - the power of Time; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌥𑌮-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌬𑍁𑌦𑍍𑌧𑌾 - first waking up; 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌬𑍋𑌧𑌯𑌤𑍍-𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌂 𑌕𑌿𑌲 - awakened Thee, it is said; 𑌵𑌿𑌶𑍍𑌵𑌨𑌾𑌥 - O Lord of the Universe!;

O Unparalleled Lord of the universe! When thus during the Naimittika Pralaya consisting of a thousand chaturyugas, Thou had slept, the power of time (Kaala Shakti) woke up first and awakened Thee from Thy slumber.

𑌵𑌿𑌬𑍁𑌧𑍍𑌯 𑌚 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌂 - and after waking up Thou; 𑌜𑌲-𑌗𑌰𑍍𑌭-𑌶𑌾𑌯𑌿𑌨𑍍 - who were reclining in the causal waters; 𑌵𑌿𑌲𑍋𑌕𑍍𑌯 - beholding; 𑌲𑍋𑌕𑌾𑌨𑍍-𑌅𑌖𑌿𑌲𑌾𑌨𑍍 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌲𑍀𑌨𑌾𑌨𑍍 - all the worlds merged (in Thee); 𑌤𑍇𑌷𑍁-𑌏𑌵 𑌸𑍂𑌕𑍍𑌷𑍍𑌮-𑌆𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌤𑌯𑌾 - on those (worlds) (which were )in subtle form; 𑌨𑌿𑌜𑌾𑌂𑌤𑌃 - 𑌸𑍍𑌥𑌿𑌤𑍇𑌷𑍁 - inside Thee only residing; 𑌵𑌿𑌶𑍍𑌵𑍇𑌷𑍁 - on all of them; 𑌦𑌦𑌾𑌥 𑌦𑍃𑌷𑍍𑌟𑌿𑌂 - (Thou) cast Thy glance;

Translation
O Lord! Thou who were reclining in the causal waters, on waking up saw all the worlds merged in Thyself in subtle form. Thou then cast Thy glance on all of them.

𑌤𑌤𑌸𑍍𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌦𑍀𑌯𑌾𑌦𑌯𑌿 𑌨𑌾𑌭𑌿𑌰𑌂𑌧𑍍𑌰𑌾-
𑌦𑍁𑌦𑌂𑌚𑌿𑌤𑌂 𑌕𑌿𑌂𑌚𑌨 𑌦𑌿𑌵𑍍𑌯𑌪𑌦𑍍𑌮𑌮𑍍 ।

𑌤𑌤𑌃 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌦𑍀𑌯𑌾𑌤𑍍- - then, from Thy; 𑌅𑌯𑌿 - O Lord!; 𑌨𑌾𑌭𑌿𑌰𑌂𑌧𑍍𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍- - navel hole; 𑌉𑌦𑌂𑌚𑌿𑌤𑌂 - emerged; 𑌕𑌿𑌂𑌚𑌨 𑌦𑌿𑌵𑍍𑌯-𑌪𑌦𑍍𑌮𑌮𑍍 - a wonderful brilliant lotus; 𑌨𑌿𑌲𑍀𑌨-𑌨𑌿𑌶𑍍𑌶𑍇𑌷-𑌪𑌦𑌾𑌰𑍍𑌥-𑌮𑌾𑌲𑌾- - all the things which had remained merged in Thee; 𑌸𑌂𑌕𑍍𑌷𑍇𑌪-𑌰𑍂𑌪𑌂 - contained in subtle form; 𑌮𑍁𑌕𑍁𑌲𑌾𑌯𑌮𑌾𑌨𑌮𑍍 - which was in the shape of a bud;

Translation
Then, O Lord! There emerged from Thy naval hole a wonderful divine lotus in the form of a bud, containing in subtle form all the worlds that remained merged in Thee.

𑌤𑌦𑍇𑌤𑌦𑌂𑌭𑍋𑌰𑍁𑌹𑌕𑍁𑌡𑍍𑌮𑌲𑌂 𑌤𑍇
𑌕𑌲𑍇𑌵𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍 𑌤𑍋𑌯𑌪𑌥𑍇 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌰𑍂𑌢𑌮𑍍 ।

𑌤𑌤𑍍-𑌏𑌤𑌦𑍍-𑌅𑌂𑌭𑍋𑌰𑍁𑌹-𑌕𑍁𑌡𑍍𑌮𑌲𑌂 - that aforesaid lotus bud; 𑌤𑍇 𑌕𑌲𑍇𑌵𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍 - (originating from) Thy body (navel); 𑌤𑍋𑌯-𑌪𑌥𑍇 𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌰𑍂𑌢𑌮𑍍 - rising in the causal waters; 𑌬𑌹𑌿𑌃 - 𑌨𑌿𑌰𑍀𑌤𑌂 - and coming out above (the waters); 𑌪𑌰𑌿𑌤𑌃 𑌸𑍍𑌫𑍁𑌰𑌦𑍍𑌭𑌿𑌃 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌧𑌾𑌮𑌭𑌿𑌃- - by its brilliance spreading all around; 𑌧𑍍𑌵𑌾𑌂𑌤𑌮𑍍-𑌅𑌲𑌂 𑌨𑍍𑌯𑌕𑍃𑌂𑌤𑌤𑍍 - completely removed the darkness;

Translation
O Lord! that divine lotus bud, which originated from Thy body, rose above the causal waters and with its brilliance, removed the surrounding darkness completely.

𑌸𑌂𑌫𑍁𑌲𑍍𑌲-𑌪𑌤𑍍𑌰𑍇 - in the fully blossomed petals; 𑌨𑌿𑌤𑌰𑌾𑌂 𑌵𑌿𑌚𑌿𑌤𑍍𑌰𑍇 - of the most wonderful; 𑌤𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌿𑌨𑍍 - in that; 𑌭𑌵𑌤𑍍-𑌵𑍀𑌰𑍍𑌯𑌧𑍃𑌤𑍇 - (which was) supported by Thy yogic prowess; 𑌸𑌰𑍋𑌜𑍇 - in that lotus; 𑌸 𑌪𑌦𑍍𑌮𑌜𑌨𑍍𑌮𑌾 𑌵𑌿𑌧𑌿𑌃 - - the lotus born Brahmaa (the creator); 𑌆𑌵𑌿𑌰𑌾𑌸𑍀𑌤𑍍 - appeared; 𑌸𑍍𑌵𑌯𑌂-𑌪𑍍𑌰𑌬𑍁𑌦𑍍𑌧-𑌅𑌖𑌿𑌲-𑌵𑍇𑌦-𑌰𑌾𑌶𑌿𑌃 - with all the Vedas self manifested in him;

Translation
O Lord! In the fully blossomed petals of the wonderful lotus, which was supported by Thy yogic prowess, the lotus born Brahmaa (the creator) appeared with all the Vedas self manifested in him.

𑌅𑌸𑍍𑌮𑌿𑌨𑍍 - in this; 𑌪𑌰𑌾𑌤𑍍𑌮𑌨𑍍 - O Supreme Being; 𑌨𑌨𑍁 𑌪𑌾𑌦𑍍𑌮𑌕𑌲𑍍𑌪𑍇 - Paadma Kalpa; 𑌤𑍍𑌵𑌮𑍍-𑌇𑌤𑍍𑌥𑌮𑍍- - Thou in this manner; 𑌉𑌤𑍍𑌥𑌾𑌪𑌿𑌤-𑌪𑌦𑍍𑌮𑌯𑍋𑌨𑌿𑌃 - caused to originate the lotus born Brahmaa; 𑌅𑌨𑌂𑌤𑌭𑍂𑌮𑌾 - O Thou of infinite glory!; 𑌮𑌮 𑌰𑍋𑌗𑌰𑌾𑌶𑌿𑌂 𑌨𑌿𑌰𑍁𑌂𑌧𑌿 - pray, eradicate my hoards of ailments; 𑌵𑌾𑌤𑌾𑌲𑌯𑌵𑌾𑌸 𑌵𑌿𑌷𑍍𑌣𑍋 - O Vishnu Dweller of Guruvaayur!;

Translation
O Supreme Lord of incomprehensible powers, in this age known as the Paadma Kalpa, Thou thus brought into existence the Creator Brahmaa. O Lord Vishnu! who has manifested in the temple of Guruvaayur, please eradicate my ailments.
